(Adjudged as one of the Best Plays Of The Year 2001 by Delhi Govt.'s Sahitya Kala Parishad)

The play is based on a mythological theme. The presentation is full of Indian Classical Music and choreographed scenes in- between. Technically well designed with Indian traditional costumes and elaborated sets. The play is about the king Yayati who wanted to remain young & strong forever, he married Devyani (Rishi Kanya) only because he wanted to obtain Sanjivani Buti (Nectar) from Devyani's father Rishi Sukhracharya so that he could immortalize his youth by consuming Sanjivini Buti. Later on his affair with one of Devyani's dasi Sharmistha made Shukracharya angry who could not see his daughter Devyani being despised by Yayati , so he poured a curse on Yayati that this youth would vanish by the end of the day unless the old age of Yayati with all his sufferings was taken up by some youth. Yayati's own son Puru comes forward to take up the curse with all suffering which led to the suicide of young bride of Puru who could not bear seeing her young husband Puru suffering from old age problems. Finally, the suicide of daughter-in-law made Yayati realize how selfish he was, wanted to live his own son's youth with all vigour and vitality by giving him all the sufferings of his old age. He then willingly took over his curse and went to vanprasthashram, giving his kingdom to his son Puru.
